How has it all begun ?
Cairo Walking Tours is a group of young at heart, fun loving tour guides who have come together for a common cause: To teach history and entertain guests with creative tours. The new vision was built over years of experience of working with hospitality and travel industry in Egypt and the Middle East. Education, experience and creativity resulted into 2 new products presented for the first time to the local tourism market of Egypt; walking tours and Pay-what-you-like tours. Launching our walking tours in 2000 has met a great success and encouraged others to walk on the steps and provide the visitors with richer tours and closer to the everyday life of the Egyptians. Pay-what-you-like tours has been started only in 2014 to add another dimension to the tour and make it simply just more successful. Pay-what-you-like has no upfront costs which will ensure you won't pay more than the tour worth. Such tours has solved out the dilemma of being served and looked after while experiencing life in Cairo like a local. Picking the routs, sightseeing, and the small number of the groups, in addition to expert, informative and energetic guides has taken the experience to the maximum fun and comfort. We still not be able to prevent surprises and cultural shocks entirely to happen from time to time, but that what will make you excited in the morning before you start your tour. At the other end of the walk, your Tour Guide will take you with an informative tour through the most beautiful street there "El Moaz Street" which houses many mosques belong to many kings who ruled Egypt at the flourished Islamic Time also enjoy the Largest Open Museum for Islamic architectures and ancient building, Mamluk Mosques such as Al-Hakim Mosque.
